Insurer may deny coverage due to Hurricane Gustav?
I recently purchased a 2008 envoy on 29/08/2008. Allstate called to remove the cover of Car old and new truck. They said they are in some kind of ban, which came into force on 08.28.2008 @ 10:30 and could not add my truck until hurricane passes and the ban is lifted. Is this for all insurance companies in Louisiana to purchase such as car, house, Boat, etc. are car dealerships (in Louisiana) aware of the prohibition of the hurricane?
It may be standard practice to add new coverage. However, if this is a replacement for a vehicle already insured, you must have the same cover on it as on the old car for 30 days from the date of purchase,
