Boat Boat Insurance Sales

How can I get an evaluation on my canal Boat (mid 1960) that was made in England. The mfg is out of business
It is a Creighton "Seagull". It looks like a camper, however, is actually a mini-boat that is built on a trailer, that is: the trailer stays with it long whole. It is 17 'overall, but part of the cabin is about 15'. He sleeps four, has a closet for a port a potty, a gas burner stove, a sink. a sunroof slide open, a dining table that converts into a bed, a bunk bed that converts into a sofa … It was licensed in Indiana when I bought it as a "house-car." The title had been lost, so I renamed him. I have the ship of state has issued # 's for the front plate and a trailer behind. I had it in water and is certainly sea-worthy. I have the original brochure for it too! There was a similar boat made called "Car-a-boat" (also in England). It is made fiberglass in the bottom half, and tin-covered wooden upper half. It seems to be one of the few in existence, and more defineatly the only in the states. I want to find its value for insurance and possible sale of the same.
The easiest way to find the value of anything is to look around and see what other items are comparable sale. Actually that is how the naval surveyor will do it. He'll ask you what you think it is worth what you paid for it, and compare this value with what the other boats of the same type and condition are selling for. You can even do the same thing. If you want to get aa second opinion of the condition the boat a marine surveyor professional is well worth the money.
