Missouri is a central element of the United States and is surrounded on all sides the states of Illinois, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas. St. Louis is a city that has been involved in history for many years. He was starting point for Lewis and Clark expedition, and was a popular starting point for those who begin their journey west in the early days of the United States. The St. Louis Arch is a monument to travelers as they head West even in these modern times. Wainwright Building in St. Louis, claims to be the first skyscraper ever built in the world and still remains as a government building in the center. The American Jazz Museum is a great place to go if you want to know everything about the history of the musical form of jazz and see many artifacts from years past. Another option is the excellent Museum Arabia Steamboat Museum, which covers the history of the Boat trip steam along the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. For travelers there is a part of the family amusement called Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun This park has a variety of tours and live entertainment to choose from. For more adult activities, Kansas City also offers the Argosy Casino and Harrah's Casino, with slot machines, table games and restaurants.

The Missouri Division of Tourism is an excellent resource to help find the right accommodation in the right city for your travel needs.
