Boat Covers Outboard Motor

It is best to use plywood, fiberglass or foam coated with epoxy to build a Boat for a 1947 10HP Mercury?
I have a Mercury 10HP 1947 outboard lighting and want to build a light boat that will accommodate four people. I'll have to buy stuff but not sure which is better to buy the lightweight yet strong. Does anyone have any suggestions?
If you're looking for something authentic to go along with the patina of the engine, I suggest wood, since it is the type of boat was probably used when new. There are also many good articles and plans available for the construction of small wooden boats, and most can be built with common hand tools / equipment timber.
