How do I get my Ebay / Paypal deposit from a failed auction Ebay?
Paypal protection is a joke at best! I have read horror stories about it and now I have just experienced firsthand. A Boat auction canceled each other resulted in Ebay that the seller return my check. However, he refuses to return the deposit of $ 1000 than I did when I won the auction. Paypal says its policy does not cover deposits of the auction (I I wonder !!!). Now, how do I go after the user? He is in another state six hours away. The last time Talek, he promised to send me a check. But now, he does not answer emails or your phone. What legal steps can I take? (Go to small claims court or use a collection agency) I I think I learned my lesson. Moral: Do not buy on Ebay using Paypal – payment by credit card direct is best. And only buy small quantities you can afford to lose. There are a lot of shady characters and con artists on Ebay / Paypal, and protection is useless (except for honest people as care comments on the ratings) Thanks JR
call a collection agency, they will tell you if they can help you or not. if this doesent work then you have to go to small claims court.
