Boat Covers Snaps
I need a new Boat cover?
I have a 1987 Bayliner Capri Cuddy, 18 m. He came with the original cover boat canvas snap, however, became too small due to the sun. There is another kind of coverage just a slip cover that I can maintain it throughout the summer while it is docked in the water? Someone have a website or suggestions?
Well If the current coverage is not torn or worn out I can probably save you a couple of hundred dollars. Firstly, immerse the cover in a tub of fresh water to wash the salt out of it. Then stretch the cover to get to the fore and aft closures and attach them. Now start working your way both sides toward the middle of the boat. You should be able to restretch the screen to adjust the boat if you wet it first. If you need to buy another cover you is looking for someone who works with the canvas to make Boat Covers, awnings, etc. Sometimes, a manufacturer of candles can make them, as well as a portion of a line side. I also found a link to a club owner who took me to a good shop specializing in copper Bayliner. I'll leave the links below. I still recommend you try restretch covers the original first though. Not really so difficult and the new roofs are going to be expensive. Besides all that will happen with your new cover is going to get wet and shrink the same way he did. What will you do buy a new cover, cringes every time? Good luck with your solution ….
