Interested in sailing from New York to Florida to the Caribbean – how do I go about it?
I am interested in learning to sail. After doing so, I would like to use the experience of navigating from New York to Florida to the Caribbean. – I'm hard core no I do not want to do it without a pair of motors, lots of practice, and safety equipment. My question is: what kind of Boat – which is not very expensive – for this purpose? And where could I go online to get to learn about what I need to learn? Thanks! Being! More appropriate that I am getting a real kick out of these responses.
I learned to sail in Oceanside CA Read a little 14. Stick with the smaller boats (26 feet or less) to learn. They are much more sensitive to wind and you have to watch everything. So, before getting involved in buying a bigger boat, I would crew for some people who own their own boats. You can learn volumes of situations Before other people invest in their own country. sailed a 41 'Ketch with another guy from Cairns in Australia to Guam. Had a great time … learned a lot. Six months aboard the tropics, with stops in New Guinea, Truk Lagoon, and a few other places. Contact me if you want some clues or information about how to go about it. Nothing like being in open water.
