First I would like chalk or a pencil and a circle of bubbles boat. Sometimes some will disappear which you think would be good, but in the long term, why let it rot? Take a screwdriver and pick up around where the blisters / pimples to see if there were some hollow point.
Now the hard part … The drying time! That would be great if you can leave it for a few months out of the water, as in the north. If you do not have time (months or more) to let it dry, you can speed up the process by adding heat, as heat lamps or flood lights that emit a uniform warming no heat … which becomes too hot to touch. This will remove moisture and a moisture meter will give you the information you want … one of those great little gadgets! You and I I know you will only give you a long time to dry, but the best … for hull all true!
Clean areas with a cloth dampened with acetone, clean the areas well. To fill any irregularities, make-up using a filler of resin and micro fillers from any marine source or at the yacht Authority.com (Leftside Menu Bar). Thicken your Resin for almost a paste, remember to use the catalyst and applied with a spatula. In major depression, use a little filling at the beginning to get all the way in, leaving no air spaces. Then add more to level it to the original surface surrounding. Again you can write off the area (read: Boat Fiberglass Tabbing) in order to maintain its tight work area, which will mean less sand. Let the filling of sand, dry sand with 180 or 220, using an orbital sander or hand sanding block, depending on the area to be done. If you need it more smooth, finishing with 320.
It's amazing, but it's done … easy and you just add more value to your boat! … and if you have larger areas, you can do it in sections, so you do not get overwhelmed … It would be nice use a barrier coating before putting her painting background … it makes it harder for water / moisture to return, especially if your boat or yacht remains water throughout the year … .. once again you did a great job … Why knot?
