Boat Insurance Brokers

I need help on the liability insurance?
Our Boat was being kept in a yard where he was having work done on it as we had only bought days earlier. In passing, the owners of the site offered to take us through your insurance broker as would be the best deal. We went into this, but Unfortunately, the workshop was attacked by arsonists and burned, along with our boat, before they did. The owners have promised on several occasions (including once in front of a police officer) to bring us a new boat for the compensation of equal value. More than a month later and we can not get them and nothing was done. We have now also discovered that they have liability insurance on the site. As we are getting impatient as the weeks and months go on, we are wondering where we stand legally with this. It is a public liability insurance required? We can go to court with this and we have a leg to stand on?
OK, Your responsibility over the place, if they had, it would be like to slip and fall claims while on their premises. It would not cover physical damage his boat, while she was being held there. Responsibility specificially excludes coverage for property under their care, custody or control. Probably, the responsibility Public (slip and fall coverage) is not necessary. You could go to court, but unless the cause of the fire (they were the arsonists)? You will lose. If they caused the fire, it will not help him collect. Probably these people just lost everything they have, and good luck getting anything them. never ever trust a third party to obtain insurance for YOU! Nobody will look out for your interests as well as you can.

‘Gotcha’: International Marine Insurance Fraud and Conspiracy: A Study Guide $7.34 STEAL, CHEAT, AND LIE YOUR WAY TO THE TOP–a growing practice on both sides of the Atlantic that’s costing consumers millions each year. Marine insurance is based on Uberrimae Fidei or utmost good faith but it hasn’t worked out that way. Author Ed Geary closely examines the schemes of marine insurance fraud and conspiracy that involves not only boat owners and policy holders, but insurance brokers, and marine underwriters. During his five year USCG training mission of the Venezuelan Coastguard Geary’s disclosure of the Central Intelligence Agency’s clandestine Operation Deep Six to destabilize the elected government of Venezuela and install Hugo Chavez as president put him in the cross-hairs of the Agency. Silencing him became an even greater priority when Geary exposed the CIA’s theft of high value yachts used in idiotic schemes to smuggle narcotics from Colombia to the United States. Gotcha delves into the flawed business practices of The London Salvage Association that ultimately destroyed an organization that’s been around before the reign of Queen Victoria and exposes the fraud and “trickle-down-corruption” that has tainted the Lloyd’s Agency System. After the melt-down of ENRON and WorldCom the cover-up of Arthur Andersen’s fraudulent ship valuation conspiracy by the once reliable Lloyd’s List in London challenges the imagination. |
