What one person can do to get out of the darkness or depression.?
I have bipolar disorder and the treatment worked perfectly at home and at work sixteen. I stopped taking my medicine about five years ago and worked fine but recently started having problems. Im back "on remedies, but I can not get out. I can not think or make decisions, not to wash the dishes or clean the house and lost interest in pleasurable activities ex. I would like to raise early and make breakfast and get out on the Boat fishing or just sightseeing, now I have no interest in it and just sit home and worry because my car was repossed Friday, and am about to be dumped into my home and my disability insurance ran out. I've been in this situation twice before and had a hard time, no interest nothing and no ideas about how to get out of this mess. I feel guilty about not working and supporting my wife, now that might end up in the street, homeless or car, if I go to work, I'll be fired, I do not even have a way of working
You can sign up for Social Security Disability (SSDI) provided you have some years of medical records that binds to bipolar disorder. But this is a long term goal, and you're now in a real jam. I can not think of any solution except prayer. If the medicine is not working, your doctor needs to change that. My boyfriend is bipolar. It is Social Security Disability Income, because he is unable to keep a job. Sounds like it is time for a hospital emergency room for you to be stabilized and change your medication to try to help with depression. While you are severely depressed, you will not be any help for his wife, himself or anyone else. They can not fire you if you go to the hospital and that will give you time to recover mentally and you can apply for SSDI while you is inside. How to become homeless, there are shelters out there. It is a great shock to the system, but you'll survive. I had to live in shelters three years before my Social Security now. Then I have three years back pay – more than $ 40,000 and bought a house wife. My prayers are with you and yours. Good Luck!
