I am so depressed ….?
I've been trying for more than four months to get a job. I can not get a job anywhere – even walmart or fast food. Everyone says they are fully equipped. I am university educated and am very qualified. My husband is in the same Boat. We do not have no income and no way of earning income without a job! We're having to borrow money from family. We had to declare bankruptcy a year ago, due to a medical emergency, then we have no credit. I have no friends and no life. No matter what I do, it seems that the bolts of life me. My husband is very supportive of my feelings and think I should just "do not get depressed." I am on medication for depression, but can not afford counseling because they have no insurance. I feel so alone. I no longer believe that through hard work you can go ahead. To Sometimes no matter what you do, you get screwed. I just do not know what else to do
Listen, you're right, sometimes we do our best and we still do not get what we deserve at the end of the line. We hear the term "life is not fair" all the time, but that does not mean we will not feel hurt, upset and even depressed when things go wrong. Now, many people are having the same problems. You need counseling but can not afford it, others need medical attention and can not pay, and this leads to anxiety and depression. Firstly, remember you're not alone. It's a proven fact that excersise can improve depression. Try going for a run or a walk every day. Do not lose hope in it, try every day for one week and see if you feel better. Fresh air also helps us think more clearly, finding solutions that were not there before. There are many tools help for depression, but I'll mention a few that seem to be more effective. Your life is stressful, I understand. Take a piece of paper at the end of each day, never forget, well done and all you're thinking. If it takes ten pages, fine. Do not leave anything out. When you are finished, have a good long breath. Think on those words. Notice how the negative in your life can be changed. Not everyone, I know, but a few. Fold the paper and wants to tear to pieces or burn it. Do not let the task for the next day, always do it as soon as you finish writing. This works more than you can imagine. Life is difficult, and you're probably angry the situation. And you have the right to be angry. Find some time alone, and want to scream into a pillow or simply curse outloud. Screaming, kicking the furniture, do whatever you feel. I do not keep anger inside, it's like disease. You deserve the right to make a damn bit, or to break a glass on occasion. And finally, remember that you and only you have the power to change your situation. Our government could care more, our cities could help us more as individuals, can receive more support from the higher power that we believe in. That's all true. But we can not always rely on others, even if it should be able to do. If you have to go to every company in your town to find work, do it. Do not give up hope. Never leave your attitude seem less enthusiastic or positive, then it was at last place. Tell yourself: I'll get a job. Do not set time limits, you can not control the weather. Do not be overly specific, sometimes we have to have everything that we can achieve. But never, ever say to yourself that you will not find a job. I have faith in you as a human being. I know you can be strong because I know I can be strong too. Get up every morning and say "this can not be today, but I'm sure I'll try my best." Do not quit and not give up. Do what you need to do, and remember that we do not stay where we are in life, because nobody is doing to us. The decisions we we are our choice, always. After a day of job hunting, remember that you will not get where you're going if you're too tired, both emotionally and physically, to get there. Read a book, go to the library and enjoy the silence. Take a bath once in a while. Light a candle. Buy a vase of flowers and smell them every day. Food is not our only fuel, and you will find that the free things in life will benefit more than you ever realized before. Take this unfortunate situation and turn it into something good. In addition, trained psychologists are not the only people who can help. The best person to help someone you know where you been, and can help you get where you're going.
