I live in New Jersey and am buying a Boat. I need a license and insurance?
I'm buying a used Jon Boat 14 feet with an electric motor. I know it must be registered and so does the trailer. I was looking online and read what you need a license to oporate a boat or jet ski within New Jersey. My question is, does an electric motor to power a boat? Or can not just say "the outboard gas" power boat? Also I need insurance for the boat and trailer? I was reading online and he said I just need to bring the title to the boat and my information. He did not said nothing about insurance. Thanks!
