Boat Insurance Rib

I need insurance for a tender / RIB small?

I'm looking to start a small man RIB 2.4 (often used as proposed for vessels larger) for use by Coastal Island of Wight (England). Does anyone know if I need insurance on it? He will have one (not more than 10HP) engine small outboard on it, well, I do not know if that changes anything? I really can not find much info on this, even in some of the RYA books. Thanks for any help.

As a small Boat sailor in the same patch of water, like you I can answer that … You are not required to have insurance on your boat, but I really recommend that you have, even if you just buy liability insurance only. If the boat goes out of control, the damage even a small motor boat with a little can do you can spend hundreds of thousands of pounds. If you are a member of a local or sailing club I think they have a requirement that the company requires you to have insurance. marinas Many insist that the boats moored at them or use any of its facilities (including slipway) have. Oh secure and safe to have saved me thousands over the past 25 years -. PS a 10hp engine in a man RIB 4.2? Why do you want for your underpower RIB – I recommend at least a 50 on a 13 'RIB.
