Had five ultrasounds and husband wants me to get into 3D before he left Iraq, is this safe?
The first one I had was in the hospital when I discovered I was pregnant and I was cramping, but cramping itvwas just normal pregnancy. The second and third prizes went to my ob to find out my due date, provided I ovulated late and had to a fertility specialist. So recently I had one with my midwife at my check up appt. Everything is fine and I'm 9 weeks and 3 days. Now My husband is leaving Iraq when I'm around 12 weeks and he wants me to create an APPT. by a 3D ultrasound before he leaves because he can not go with me for more appointments since he will be gone and I will not get another ultrasound with a midwife until I'm at 22 weeks. But I do not know if it is safe not to sound like ultrasounds too? I do not want any harm my baby. Has anyone been in the same Boat and how many scans you ever had. I know that most people had only some because of their insurance.
I would not worry about it, but talk with your obstetrician confidence if you're worried. However, given that you had so many in the first quarter, I suggest instead that you just send copies of your DH to its 22 a week. A 3D ultrasound is usually better around 28-32 weeks (before that, your child is not populated enough to look like himself, then he is a little tight in there to get a good photo). I decided to do a 3D ultrasound-4D with both of mine (my first that I received as a shower gift and a second I did that my son could see his sister moving in there). When you purchase the 3D you can also get a DVD that includes video and still photos – you can send to Iraq so that the DH can be part of seeing your child grow.
