How is that Cubans can "swim" to the U.S. and stay? It is an outrage?
reading the newpaper yesterday, 18 Cubans landed on the west coast Florida, which were bound for Miami, the strong winds led to the west. They came to the U.S. and are being allowed to stay! I firmly disargee. If you comes to U.S. soil / land illegally, you should be sent back in 24 hours. is not fair to our workers. immigrants do not pay taxes, social security, insurance, but when it comes time for them to collect Social Security @ 65, are the first in line. It is an outrage. These people were seen by a Boat driver on a ride sprimp Hwy soaked in sea water, dehydrated and hypothermia. They should get a hot meal, dry clothes and a ticket back to your country. And if a person Arabic or Chinese, who would be concerned about terrorism or the flu / avian chicken that comes with them. What is the difference? As a proud, strong Latino I have to disagree strongly with the swim or boat of immigrants.
The difference is economic refugees vs political refugees. The U.S. policy to give sanctuary for people fleeing political repression, but not necessarily for simply looking for economic opportunities. This is the general policy, agree or disagree.
