Boat Loan Brokers

Mortgage loan officers, you are doing nothing to protect themselves against the current market?
My husband is a mortgage broker while this time of year things start to slow, says it feels "different" (in a bad way) than in previous years. I do not know if he is just paranoid about the collapse of the prime lending market, or what .. but I went after him to get involved in something else to protect you (us) financial of what can happen in the coming months. Nobody is in the same Boat, and that, if anything, are you doing to protect yourself? Sorry, I meant "sub-prime".
Times are difficult for loan officers / brokers now. It's getting stronger and tougher to qualify people for loans housing in both the subprime and paper. He'll have to exit the market and he and his company. Find some more prospects. Look for a niche in your target market. Get to know some manufacturers (do not waste your time trying to win Realtors). I get a lot of loans from a couple of bank employees who have more guidelines tighter than my creditors. Good luck!
