Boat Seats Captains

I bought a 1987 182 glasstream 'Boat 16?
the sell signal at the dealership said it was a 18 'boat, the blue book said 17 "and said title 16, "which one is correct? banks are also small, so I could take the seats out, they are as bend down, and replace them with Captain Banks?
The 182 is a model designation. Some manufacturers measure the length from stem to stern, following the hull model. For a 182 this would be "15'2. If the title says this is a" boat 17, so that's what it is. Take a tape measure and see how long from the bow to the stern end. Both a shift away from banks that fold down to captain's seats, be careful that the floor can not have concentrated weight and torque of a captain's seat. Also, you lose the storage space under the seats. Regards, Dan
