Anyone Carnival Sensation cruise in November?
Planing to take the kids on a cruise in November at Carnival Cruise Lines ship Sensation to the Bahamas. This will be our first cruise and I just wanted some advice about what I should pack it up and should not pack. What to expect for me to travel by sea, November. Also the age at cruise for children will be 2yrs, 13yrs, 14yrs, 17yrs. I still pack a car seat (here in Michigan for a child is mantory with 8 years of age to be in a car seat), I am allowed to pack my own cart or can I rent. Any help will be apprechiated.
I see that there one reply was posted …… then I'll tell you our experience. We spent the last week of November. We anticipate climate "tropical". On our departure from a cold front was working its way through the southeast. Wind was blowing too ….. that the top level of the ship never opened. The sea was high and the water was splashing out of the pool. If someone tells you that the cruise ships of large size are not subject to waves and causing sickness ….. they're lying. There was a mobile patrol and vomit barf bags conveniently located throughout the ship. Be sure to bring a jacket ….. stay cool ….. its sea and winter is approaching. "Fun Day at Sea" can be miserable. Now the good stuff. The food was good …… but certainly not what they say. The children's program at the Carnival is excellent. It was obvious that ALL children had a great time too. If you want to make it reasonably certain that you enjoy yourself …… go south than the Bahamas. West Indies (Leewards) is very pleasant during late November. It's hotter ….. and that just makes a huge difference.
