Boat Shrink Wrap

Can I ship a product without boxes, but instead wrapped in heat shrink wrap like the kind put the boats in the Winter?
I'm trying to find a way not to use the boxes of the product is very long and heavy, if I could wrap it in an envelope as strong as that seen in boats winterized help. Any other names that is called or if possible?
