Boot Camp for New Shares Tips for Parents Parents' Day Celebration
"Most parents believe that the less complicated the better. Guys do not are really interested in spending much money on Father's Day in general, so often, they choose the activities that are outdoors and free, "noted Bishop.
Dads across the nation have shared their ideas to celebrate Father's Day:
-
Take in a baseball minor league game.
-
No need for clubs or a golf cart – go miniature golfing.
-
Fire up the grill and the spatula to father – a barbecue with all the father's favorite foods is just the thing.
-
Wiffle ball play or start a game backyard football goes.
-
Plan a picnic in the park or beach. Be sure to bring a baseball glove and a ball, frisbee or football.
-
Take a family bike ride around the neighborhood or head to the nearest state park or trail.
-
Arrange the arts, some snacks and hiking.
-
Head to the nearest river or lake canoeing and Boating. Or, watch the "boats large, "as you stroll by the sea and enjoy the ocean ice.
-
Going bananas? Check out the monkeys and other exposures in your local zoo.
-
Have a pizza party – or order to gather and make it from scratch. Follow it with (age appropriate) games like charades, the Monopoly, Go Fish, etc.
-
Watch a show. It could be the newest movie in the cinema or a concert or a car, Boat or monster truck show – what the parent likes.
Bishop continued: "These are nice, but just spending time together as a family is what many parents want for Father's Day. "

Dads Learn what to expect new Boot Camp Workshops
Dads-to-be will be better prepared to face the challenges and opportunities of fatherhood after attending Boot Camp for a "hands on" educational workshop. Men attend the class when they are expecting their first baby, and are joined in the workshop of "veterans" who had already served and returned with her baby 2-4 months old in tow. They are able to give parents-to-be a realistic idea of what to do and what to expect when your first baby comes. For many men there, it's your first time holding a baby.
Boot Camp for New Dads
Now celebrating its 18th year, Boot Camp for New Parents is nationally acclaimed as "best practice" to prepare men to be fathers and was named a Model Program of the U.S. Navy. Boot Camp for New Dads has prepared more than 200,000 men for fatherhood over the years.
With over 4.1 million births (National Center for Health Statistics), and approximately 1.5 million men becoming new parents each year, is more important than ever for parents to realize that being a "Good provider" is only part of the central role they have in their children's lives.
