Led Boat Lights
using an electric motor for propulsion in a kayak and recharge?
I am currently building a hybrid kayak / canoe trips on the river during the night and want to use a small motor for propulsion. I prefer the slow charge that starting next while sleeping at night (good Boat to tie it and leave the accessory flowing rivers) than spend money on solar charging or other secondary source. how to wire / i find information like discharge circuit I can for the engine, or replace the engine for charging the battery, or will do it is as if I leave the wheel support free? and what kind amphour / hour battery should I use for engine / radio time / cpl small LED lights?
If the neighbor is not free wheel is doing any work. Would have to turn the engine while involved to convert the motor into a generator. Unless you're talking about white water that will not work. Now that does not mean that everything you need to do. You also need to rectify the AC voltage that the motor / generator would provide. After adjusting the voltage to about 13.8 volts, and monitor and limit the current generator to prevent overheating of the battery. When all is said and done your easiest solution is to simply buy a solar charger and an extra battery. Use a battery, while the other is charging.
