Ski Boat Insurance Cost
Some questions of the boat? (I'm new at this)?
I am looking to buy a boat fifteen feet MFG (1962) with a 55hp Johnson and trailer. My first question is my 1995 Ford Ranger tow it? My second question is this enough hp great for tubing and skiing with children at around 10.15 or adults and weighing under 150 pounds each? And my final question is how much you expect this to be the record of Maine? (First boat and then the trailer). Also I need to get insurance if I'm using it in a very small lake? if so how much would this cost?
I had a 16ft Zodiac with 40hp and could pull someone out of the water on a surfboard, but it was really difficult. The more equipment and people you have on the boat, the harder it is. As much as I had Towing a 1987 toyota pick up 4cly camper with a six pack and had no problem towing boats of various types of boat ramps high and steep. Sometimes if I had the camper out I had to throw in a few sandbags or having people sit on the bed to make it out of the steep slippery boat launch without spinning wheels. Entries should be cheap, considering the year. In CA I just had to register the trailer once to his age, 1957. I wonder what his case is similar. I never held my boat, but had auxiliary ship since I was in the ocean a bit, never had to use it even with an outboard Johnson, 1955.
