2007 – Mitsu Outlander XLS – reliable or look elsewhere?
Looking to start a small SUV for my wife and two children (3 and 6) so I need to fit a car and booster seat in the back. I'm looking for an SUV throughout skiing, traveling, some off-road (logging roads), pulling a fishing Boat. I'm looking for Honda CR-V, Toyota Rav 4, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Mistubishi Outlander 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-door. I'm looking for safety, economy fuel reliablitity, comfort, fun and good ability for some off-road activities (not hardcore) have an ATV for this!. I need space for children and luggage to travel questions. I like the looks of the Mitsubishi, XLS and price guarantee: What is the reliability to the SUV, a utility services, ride quality on the road and long term re-sale?
I'm going through the same search right now! Consumer Reports actually recommends the Outlander, and says reliablility in his first year in which the U.S. was "exceptional." However, they also say that the ride is very firm and that the fit and finish inside is just OK. You should check what they have to say about the Outlander, and other cars you mention.
